There's a userscript for that: https://cs-hackerary.dreamwidth.org/6883.html. Or you can disable Javascript from livejournal.net, which takes out some other stuff but nothing essential.

I haven't accepted the TOS and I'm still reading my friends there. Can't post, but don't want to anyway. (Well, I'd like to be able to make a pinned post saying why there are no more updates, but oh well. Maybe on my way out; eventually I'm going to selectively delete stuff there, at which point I'll probably have to accept. Can't delete the journal just yet.)
