Report from Julia the cat on "comings and goings"

Oh My Ceiling Cat! Mommy keeps going away every few days, and then she stays away for a few days. Last time she did that Mommy said she was going to study "heraldry," whatever that is, in some place called North Carolina, which I don't understand at all. Daddy likes to sleep late and he doesn't feed me and that other cat as early as Mommy does.

Last night Mommy came home from "music and dance practice" with a squooshy box that had holes on the side and a dangly toy on the inside. This morning I stuck my paw in the box and played with the dangly toy. Mommy and Daddy liked that.

Then Daddy put some catnip in the squooshy box and PUT ME INSIDE!! He zipped up the end so I couldn't get out!! OH MY CEILING CAT!! They put that other mean cat Pumpkin in a different box and he couldn't get out either, but I could see him. Then Mommy and Daddy took us in the boxes outside where it is SCARY and then they put us in a very small room that vibrated for a long time. I meowed and meowed. No fair!

When Mommy and Daddy got out of the vibrating room, they brought us into a NEW HOUSE that does not smell like cats at all. It kind of smells like other people but I cannot find those other people no matter where I look. Daddy says the house belongs to his "parents" and they are "on vacation," but I don't know what that means. Mommy and Daddy are doing something called "laundry" and Pumpkin went to hide under the "settee," whatever that is. Also Daddy cooked something called "beef ribs" in the oven. It smelled really good!
