Keeping busy
Aug. 17th, 2011 09:54 pmWith my wings clipped by my balky transmission, what have I been doing? Well, I worked on a short freelance article for my ex-employer -- just got that done today. I am applying to a couple more putative job openings. We shall see.
Before Pennsic, the boy toy and I bought a nice box of Roma tomatoes at Spicknall's Farm. This was to be his project while I was at War. By now we have canned tomato sauce, whole tomatoes, tomato soup concentrate, and diced tomatoes. And we've still got a few more tomatoes. We might make more of the soup concentrate. Believe me, when we put a little milk in it and heat it up this winter, it will kick the butt of those commercial tomato soups.
Slowly I am de-junking the spare bedroom. It didn't get filled in a day, so it won't get emptied in a day, either.
