Agreed (lost my dad to it in the mid-90s).

It's even worse than I originally thought. BOTH of Jimmy Carter's parents and all three of his younger siblings died of pancreatic cancer, at various ages. If you had asked me back in 1995 if I thought the 39th president would be alive 25 years later, I would have said, "Not with THAT family history."

That's an unbelievable family history to live so long, apparently without such cancer, in spite of. Amazing, though extremely sad for him losing so much family, and extremely sad for them.

My brother had it too. He is a survivor though which is very rare.

I'll add Mike Rubin, a NYC-area fan and filker in the 80's and early 90's. He passed away from pancreatic cancer in March of 1995.
