I was reading this AlterNet article about the cultural significance of Bruce Springsteen's work and noticed that the author wrote that Springsteen played at his senior prom!!!!! (With his old band -- that must have been around 1970 or 1971.) Can you *imagine*???

BTW, Springsteen will be 63 on Sunday.

FWIW, the band that played at my prom was called Black Sheep; the lead singer was Lou Gramm, later lead singer of Foreigner.
