Just to let you all know that I haven't utterly vanished....
I was going to write a longer post, but around 10 p.m. R. called (for the first time in eight or nine days) and the conversation lasted 45 minutes. A fair amount of it was repeated from previous conversations (not by yours truly). At least I was able to give him the toll-free number for Virginia vaccination appointments. I hope he uses it.
In other news ... do you know how you can tell when you are REALLY getting old? Your high school classmate's DAUGHTER gets her own show on Netflix. Honest.
